Dr. Marvin Riske, M.D., specializes in Internal Medicine. He received his Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Psychology at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in 1986. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1990 then did both his Internship and Internal Medicine residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Catherine McCauley Health Center, in Ann Arbor Michigan. Along with his wife and three children, he moved from Michigan to Arizona in 1993 and has been practicing in Phoenix ever since.
As owner of Foothills Primary Care he has seen his practice go from less than 1500 patients to currently over 4000. Although he and his staff take care of all Primary Care problems, his particular passion is taking care of patients who suffer from medical conditions as a result of their Obesity. An ever more costly and difficult problem that affects us all in one way or another, Dr. Riske and his staff have developed a unique approach to dealing with and conquering this serious medical issue. Foothills Primary Care Weight Loss Boot Camp Program has evolved to become a treatment program that not only helps people lose weight, but more importantly improves their health, reduces their medical problems and prescription medications and ultimately transforms their lives.
When not seeing patients or managing the practice, Dr. Riske enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys practicing what he preaches in terms of health and fitness - including spinning, weight lifting, running, hiking, archery and healthy organic eating.
